not a beautiful or unique snowflake
nothings

..10 years ago? The Witches of Karres by James Schmidt
...20 years ago? Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
What book made you cry? Just about anything that tries, e.g. see current read below
What book shocked you? Can't think of anything
What book have you thrown across the room? Geomancer by Don Callander, and also whichever the one Honor Harrington book I read was
What book were you unable to finish? I don't think I've ever read Godel, Escher, Bach cover to cover; I gave up on Tad Williams Otherland series before the end
What book did you like once, but now can't stand? Can't think of any, although maybe Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series sort of counts (which I also gave upon)
What book most made your life what it is today? As I said when this came up in another meme, do you still beat your wife?
What book would you most like to see adapted to film? The Black Company by Glen Cook; The Witches of Karres by James Schmidt; The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester
What is your favorite book by your favorite author? Five Hundred Years After by Steven Brust
What book must you really read someday? there's a ton of "classics"
What's on top of the nearest to-read pile? I have no to-read piles, although I have a few unread math books
What book made you want to jump off a bridge? nothing
What book made you want to write? books generally make me want to stop writing
What book changed you? hey, this is "made your life what it is today" again!
What was the first book you bought? Possibly Hitchhiker's.
What was the most recent book you bought? Lord of Castle Black by Steven Brust or the Memory, Sorrow, Thorn series by Tad Williams

added questions:
What books are you currently reading? Just finished my nth re-read of The Lord of the Rings "trilogy"
What was your most recent read? before that, re-reading Issola by Steven Brust
