Is it me or is Microsoft's new-OS scam just absolutely blatantly a scam? The whole idea that somebody turns a profit from OSes just means they're going to always want to upgrade you to new OSes, despite the fact that OSes just aren't something that really need upgrading. I mean, sure, win95 doesn't have FAT32 or USB supprt, and now win98 and winME aren't getting USB 2.0 support. But hey, I'd pay $20 for USB 2.0 support in win98. I just don't see the point in paying for a whole freaking new OS, and having to reinstall all my applications and etc. etc.

Apparently some companies with USB 2.0 PCI devices are writing their own Win9x drivers for them, but the USB 2.0 ports that came with my ASUS motherboard does not seem to be one of them.
