In one month I will be moving to from San Francisco to Seattle (specifically Oakland to Kirkland) to begin a job at RAD Game Tools, which is a small-in-headcount videogames middleware developer. I'm moderately good friends with the guys there, better than you might expect given that I just see them once a year at the Game Developer's Conference, and I've done some contracting for them. They're also the ones who paid me to make the public domain Ogg Vorbis decoder (so they could optimize the hell out of it and put it in one of their products). One of the employees regularly donated IFComp prizes from $250-$500 over the years.
My expectation is that in five or ten years I'll go back to indie development, but we'll see.
