On Friday morning I dropped a UPS battery on my left foot. Today I swung by the emergency room because I didn't like the looks of it, and they said that I had indeed broken one of my left toes, but all they did was tape it to another toe anyway.
It doesn't hurt or anything now, so no sympathies are needed. (It did hurt like the dickens on Friday morning, though.)
Instead, I am posting this as a public service, so as to add weight to my advice: do not drop a UPS battery on your foot.
