LoC followup

Yes, obviously you can't compare writing something from scratch to maintaining something. And removing lines of code is good too. These are well known ways in which LoC is a sucky metric for comparisons.

(But it's not like I too didn't write a bunch of stuff and refactor and change it already. Anytime I see something I can shrink, I do (unless it's length is due to essential performance or memory optimization); as I've said I much prefer brevity in my code. And I'm sure if I counted my total lines added/changed in source control the number would be quite a bit higher.)

(Also, for reference, we actually "open sourced" 2000 LoC of the project.)
