not a beautiful or unique snowflake

Back already--we left LA before noon. Lisa was pretty darn good--smaller band than last time, but expectations were equivalently lower. First an opening act Tom Brosseau (sp?), then three songs from "John Doe". Then Lisa did two intro songs, then they just did the whole new album. Sadly, I don't really like the new album as much as the older stuff, and that was all she did, so it was kind of short. Still, fun. Still, assuming she ever tours up to SF, I probably won't ever go down there for this again.

I'm totally kicking myself for not taking my digicam with me. The drive there and back has tons and tons of not-very interesting scenery of hills and mountains and stuff that's pretty clearly visible since much of the drive is so flat; I could have used several hundred pictures of this stuff as reference material for my outdoor environment game which I'm in the middle of doing the terrain-generation / level-editing functionality for. As I was riding back I was thinking, "man, how can I convince someone to drive me back down here for pictures", and then thought maybe I should just rent a car and do a daytrip down and back, but then it would be a pain to take photos.
